What better way to start your week than with a training exercise?

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting @DavorBilman in our offices for two full days of in-person training.

The exercise was the improving awareness of key sales and investment abilities. It has also allowed us to bond with colleagues from different offices in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Since one picture is not nearly possible to describe how the training went, we are bringing you several pieces of the atmosphere in the below gallery.

10 Fun Facts About The SGS Team

Diversity is our key.
We love our differences and are always curious.
We respect each other, listen, and are always ready to help.
With a smile, of course.
We enjoy the atmosphere at SGS.
We love to laugh and make jokes.
With the first step into SGS, you notice happy people, and it is so encouraging to be yourself.

Let’s start all over:

  1. We are a team of 11 different nationalities and growing

We employ our talent globally, whether for our clients or for us. There are no borders on planet Earth.
Talented and experienced people ready to work and make results are welcome to the team. We do wonder how many different nationalities will be till the end of the year. So exciting!

  1. The team member who travelled the most to become an SGS team member travelled more than 10.000 kilometers

There was arguing between Peru and Iran, but, of course, Peru won. The other places were Turkey, then Germany, Bulgaria, and Bosnia. We especially appreciate our Bosnian colleagues, who cheer us up every day.
As much as we love jokes, nobody can beat Bosnian humour.
Yes, they all came directly from their countries to the SGS.

  1. Every nation loves ketchup (very much)

This hot and spicy topic during lunch happens often. Maybe better not to mention details. Okay, we will.
First, you grab the ketchup,
the plate and the fork,
And then the actual food.
And then you peek into the colleague’s plate to see how much they took.
Never enough ketchup.
Is it hot or regular?
It has to be hot!

  1. We fluently speak 11 different languages

Croatian, German, Bosnian, Spanish, Persian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Turkish, Russian, Polish…oh and English. Want to join us?

  1. Most of us speak two languages, and some members even more

There are variations of combinations, but the usual one is English and German.
Whoever brings something new, we will try to learn at least a few words.
We can add Italian, Slovenian, Serbian, Chinese, Thai and Dutch to the above list.

  1. English is the official language in the company, although we are in the heart of Croatia

This one is obvious. It is not just that our team is diverse, but our clients are also worldwide.

  1. We have 4 dogs and 3 cats, and some of them sometimes prefer to work from home

We love it so much when they visit or stay with us, but somehow they prefer resting their paws on their couch.
We don’t judge.

  1. Our big lunch table is getting smaller every month

This sounds like pure magic.
It isn’t.
Our team is rapidly growing, and we love to have lunch together.
Good food, great jokes, sharing ketchup.
Gatherings like every happy family.

  1. We don’t care so much about the coffee as we care about the sweets

Don’t get us wrong, coffee is essential, but sweets go directly to the heart.
There is always something sweet in the office; this makes our day brighter.
We have a secret stash 😉

  1. We love popcorn, not just in the cinema, but in front of the computer, after lunch… We stop when we are done

You can see the colleagues walking through the hall with the popcorn.
They will gladly share it with you, but they won’t hand you the bowl.
Unless you do some trick, like: “look, there is a squirrel“.

The Future of Work

The awareness that people spend a third of their lives working leads us to start to reinvent the working experience. The Future of Work means that we’re co-creating flexible working conditions, discovering new meaning, and demanding equitable and inclusive workplaces. Many businesses are proactively adapting to offer a healthy economy and competitive conditions for skilled talents. Leaders are reshaping power structures, being more open, developing compassionate ways, and learning that adopting more vulnerable management styles fosters trust-building environments.

Both forces are crucial: People want more from their jobs, and businesses are experimenting with new strategies to compete for top talent.

While non-traditional staffing arrangements necessitate new ways of thinking and experiences like employee on-boarding and management, the rise of the fluid and adaptable system may be critical for future success, and the trend is likely to continue. A sense of community and belonging has been of increasing priority for employers in recent years—and the concept of the workplace as a healthy environment is beginning to gain traction.

We at SGS are working toward creating the future of work.

We created a healthy and inclusive working environment called Future of Work. If you are a small or medium-sized company and want a cost-effective solution and complete control over your team, check out our DaaS solution. We will deliver service, including talent that matches your needs, and you can be sure that your team is placed in an encouraging environment with skilled and passionate experts.

Executive Summary

SGS (Scalable Global Solutions) is a Croatian start-up that allows companies to employ and manage remote-working local talent without forming a subsidiary.

The company’s end-to-end solution, DaaS (Department as a Solution), is industry agnostic, covering 8 core company functions, ranging from sales and IT to customer care. It presents a breakthrough in unlocking client growth, optimising business processes and finding key talent.

SGS ONE, the company’s CRM system, was created to provide a unique experience for the hiring and onboarding process and later serve as a support tool for every department.

While the client interviews and selects the desired employees, SGS facilitates the office space and equipment while handling payroll and local employment compliance. This way, companies can hire and manage their full-time employees globally

3 Stages of Buying to Win Your Ideal Client

As a salesperson, you have limited time with clients, even your dream clients whom you can help most and can reap the greatest results from teaming with you. They have limited time (and sometimes, patience) for salespeople, so it’s your mission to create value for them during each sales interaction.

Sounds basic enough. But how do you create the kind of value that makes it easy for your clients to move forward with you? The easiest and best way is to serve them where they are in their buying process now—one of the following stages.

1. Ask for help.

A key factor in dealing with change is asking for help. Examine your family, your friends and your team, and determine those people who would be best equipped to help you with your current life changes. I believe that when you do, you will find that there are a lot of people who care about you and are willing to help you figure out how to respond to the changes.

2. Re-frame your perspective.

I recently lost my father, and I was having a hard time dealing with the loss as we were very, very close. I re-framed my thinking and determined that I was now the patriarch of the family and was in charge of the legacy moving forward. Sometimes change is hard, but we can always re-frame our perspective.

3. Look for positives.

As your dream clients work through the process of deciding what to purchase and who to buy from, they will reach a stage where they deal with their fears and concerns. They worry, “Will this work?” They wonder, “Are we making the right decision?” and “Can we trust these people to do what they say they will do and to do it when they say they will?” Usually, they struggle to arrive at answers. This is especially true when the decision is big, expensive, complex or risky.

At this stage, create value by helping your clients resolve their concerns. You provide proof where proof is needed. You provide answers to questions that are causing lingering doubts. You also provide references or whatever your prospective client needs to be 100% confident in moving forward with you.

So figure out where your clients are in their buying process and then step up and meet the corresponding needs. You’ll win the value game every time.
